3 ways to get from the airport to the island
Our Local Experience Manager will meet you at the airport to ensure you have a comfortable and safe journey to Bougan Villea Retreat, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy the ride. Bodufolhudhoo is easily accessible via daily Atoll ferry services, Speedboat rides, and Seaplane rides from Velana International Airport. The island is approx. 88km from the Airport accessible by sea.

At Bougan Villea Retreat, we understand the importance of fast and reliable transportation. That's why we offer a twice daily speedboat transfer between Velana International Airport and Bodufolhudhoo via our Speedboat partner Coral Transfers. This convenient and affordable transfer service is the preferred method of transportation amongst locals and travelers alike.

The speedboats operate twice daily 10.30 AM in the morning and 04.00 PM in the evening. You can board the speedboat from Velana International Airport or from Male' at Jetty no. 1. Our Local Experience Manager will greet you upon your arrival at the airport to ensure your journey to Bodufolhudhoo.

From the island daily 06.30 am and 12.30pm speedboat is scheduled to the airport and Male'.​

Atoll Ferry
Discover the beauty of the Northern Ari Atoll by hopping on the MTCC or Public Ferry. These motorized slow boats operate all days except Fridays, and provide transport to all inhabited islands in the atoll. This is the cheapest option to get the island but the longest duration.

First you would need to get to Male' and from Male' hop on to the ferry 303 from Villingili Ferry Terminal every Monday & Thursday only at 9 AM, from there get off at Rasdhoo (approx arrival 12 PM) and then board the 301 ferry leaving from Rasdhoo at 1 PM which will arrive at Bodufolhudhoo around 2.30 PM.

Seaplane
Take advantage of the largest seaplane operation in the world and enjoy a scenic route to your destination like no other. Seaplane service offers a bird's eye view of the stunning scenery below, making your journey as memorable as your stay. With the fastest duration possible, but be sure to book your seat in advance to experience this unique mode of transport. Seaplane ticketing and service are provided by TMA (Trans Maldivian Airways)

You have to take the Seaplane from Velana Intertional Airport to one of the nearby resorts to Bodufolhudhoo island. Either Gangehi Resort or Nika Island Resort, our Bougan Villa Retreat Local Guide will greet you in a speedboat near the resort, where you are just 5 - 10 mins away from Bodufolhudhoo.
